Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Party (India) (original) (raw)

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (Maharashtra Reconstruction Army), a regional political party which operates in the state of Maharashtra, was founded in 2006 by former members of Shiv Sena party[1]. Its flag has a saffron field, which is probably derived from the saffron flag of Shiv Sena, but with addition of blue and green stripes along the top and bottom edges, respectively. The stripes are separated from the field by white fimbriations. According to the photos from the Wikipedia[1] and from the website of Maharashtra Navnirman Vidhyarthi Sena (Maharashtra Reconstruction Students' Army), the student wing of the party[2], the flag may have the aspect ratio of either 1:2 (see image above) or 2:3 (see image below), and it seems that neither of these prevails. The width of blue and green stripes and white fimbriations also seem to vary sometimes (generally, they are as on the attached images). On the other hand, the colour shades seem to be very uniform, although the cited sources show flag images with the shades which sometimes differ a great deal (however, these are not confirmed by the photos, whose shades are followed by the attached images).
